GREAT FOOD (use Menu)

Catfish, fried shrimp, chicken fried steak and juicy burgers are just a few of our customer’s Boat House Grill favorites.  Our menu offers something for everyone.  It doesn’t matter if you are a meat eater or a vegetarian, if you are young or old, picky or easy to please… we have something delicious for you.

Austin food

We LOVE fried food (shrimp, catfish, chicken fried steak, green tomatoes) as you can see on our menu, but we also believe in balancing that with some lighter fare (salads, grilled shrimp, grilled chicken) too!

What looks good to you?

Start with Fried Green Tomatoes or the Fried Mushrooms.  Both are freshly battered, cooked to perfection and served with cool creamy ranch dressing.  This dish is great to share with friends and family. It is so tasty though that we understand if you are not in a sharing mood.

For your main dish, try our secret recipe Fried Catfish served with hushpuppies, tarter and lemon or the Chciekn Fried Steak dinner with mashed taters, creamed gravy and a beautiful side salad and texas toast.  On the lighter side try the Crispy Salads with fresh leafy greens,  topped with your favorite veggies and  dressing (ours is Ranch) along with your choice of, fried catfish, fried chicken or fried shrimp.  The Steak Finger Basket is another customer favorite with hand breaded steak served with French fries, creamed gravy and Texas toast!

No meal is complete without something to wet your whistle and wash down each tasty morsel.  We can hardly keep the Sweet Tea bucket filled up as it is our most popular drink.  The second most popular drink at our place is the cold adult beverage of the longneck bottle variety known to some as Cold Beer.

And, for dessert (I see you shaking y’er head no – you know you want it!) treat yourself to a deep-fried Apple Pie and creamy soft serve ice cream.

Lane W., one of our favorite customers, swears, “the Boat House Grill burgers are the best burgers West of the Texas Capitol.” Don’t take her word for it… come see for yourself!
